OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is what the Wii U should have been! From a usability perspective, the controllers may be a bit too small when used as separate controllers, but it works especially well with the included joy-con straps. Nintendo really learned from their Wii U mistakes and stepped up their game with the Switch. They produced an innovative console with a lot of thought put into it from the small controllers down to the kickstand on the device. A truly versatile portable gaming machine that’s priced competitively to the PS4 and Xbox One.

PROS:
+ Portable and versatile
+ Multiplayer on the go
+ Great functional design and hardware
+ Light-weight
+ Lots of accessories Continue reading

Standard

*(Updated 8-31-17)20170822_205016

Here is a long term review (2 years) of my travel camera, the Olympus OM-D E-M10. There’s a newer model now available *E-M10 MRKIII just announced today (8/31/17)! which offers some slight upgrades from the E-M10 MRKII which is an excellent camera. So the OM-D E-M10 MRKII should be getting cheaper soon. Read on to the end to see what I liked and disliked about the OM-D E-M10 camera.

Before I begin, I would like to point out that Olympus cameras fall under the Micro Four Thirds (m43) format which is a smaller sensor than most mirrorless cameras and DSLR. However, I am happy to note that image quality is quite on par with these bigger sensor cameras so nothing to worry about. Let’s move along to the review!

Accessories For Your Travel Gadgets: (Part 2)

Standard

Continuing from part 1 here are some accessories that can help improve your trip. I will range them based on my priorities, but these recommendations will range from person to person.

  • Portable battery charger (Necessary) – A must have when you’re traveling! My recommendation is the Anker PowerCore 10000. It has a big capacity for me to charge my Note 5 at least 2.5 times, which is more than plenty for the entire day. It’s also light and compact size. The only issue with getting power banks that can hold a lot is the recharging time, which can sometimes take up to 6 hours to fully recharge.

Deciding what tech gear to pick when traveling is a problem for many travelers. They’re expensive, fragile and prone to theft and can easily take away from your experience.

Here, are some of my recommendations for tech gears that will make your packing stress free. For this post, I will focus on the main tech gears (smartphones, tablets, and laptops)

Smartphones (Necessary)
A smartphone is easily the most important technology a traveler can bring along. It is an all in one device that can replace multiple devices to reduce space, weight and cost.

Pros:
+ Replaces the need for multiple devices (camera, navigation, web browser, calculator, flashlight and many other)
+ Easy to connect to the web
+ Plenty of useful traveling apps that can be used online or offline
+ Small and portable (less weight and space)
